2D1N Tour | My Tho & Ben Tre - Can Tho: Fruit Garden, Cai Rang Floating Market, Vinh Trang Pagoda (from Ho Chi Minh)

Buses depart from Ho Chi Minh City (pick-up is available until 7:45 am). From here, head to My Tho, an urban area with a rich history and a poetic landscape

The bus will take you to visit Vinh Trang Pagoda, renowned as "the largest pagoda in Tien Giang Province." Here, you will have the opportunity to admire a unique spiritual architectural masterpiece that harmoniously blends Western and Eastern styles. Additionally, your guide will provide an engaging commentary about this "miniature architectural museum," complete with fascinating insights and impressive details. You’ll have approximately 15 minutes to explore the grounds, take photos, or participate in offerings and prayers at the pagoda.

After Vinh Trang Pagoda, you will head to My Tho Wharf to board a motorboat and visit Lan Islet, one of the four famous islets in the Mekong Delta, collectively known as the "Four Holy Animals" – Dragon, Unicorn, Turtle, and Phoenix.

Upon arriving at the islet, you will explore a lush fruit garden featuring pomelos, oranges, guavas, longans, and mangosteens (depending on the season) and learn about the craft of beekeeping for honey production. You’ll witness the honey-making process firsthand, savor the fragrant honey tea, and have the chance to handle honeycombs for closer observation. You can also browse and purchase honey products as delightful gifts.

Leaving the honey farm, you will take a leisurely 5-minute walk to board a boat that will take you to a spot where you can enjoy seasonal tropical fruits from the Mekong Delta while listening to the traditional Southern Vietnamese folk music (Đờn ca tài tử).

You will then continue your journey with a 20-minute experience on a traditional "sampan" to explore the picturesque landscapes of the Mekong Delta's lush gardens. The sampan will glide along the green canals, weaving through rows of water coconut palms, before returning to the main boat to continue your adventure through the historic "Dong Khoi" land.

Upon arrival, you will visit a coconut candy workshop, a traditional craft of Bến Tre, also known as the "Land of Coconuts." Here, you will learn about the process of making the region’s famous coconut candies. Afterward, you can savor the deliciously fragrant candies and purchase them as delightful gifts.

At noon, you will enjoy a scenic ride by horse-drawn carriage or motorized cart along the village roads, offering a glimpse into the simple and peaceful lifestyle of the locals in the "Land of Coconuts." This experience lasts about 15–20 minutes.

After the horse-drawn carriage or motorized cart ride, you will head to a local restaurant to enjoy lunch. Following your meal, you can visit an ecological park featuring a crocodile farm, as well as enclosures for porcupines, snakes, and frogs. You’ll also have the chance to relax on hammocks under the shade of fruit trees or participate in traditional folk games such as tightrope walking, rope swinging, cycling on narrow planks, rowing competitions on the lake, long jump, and more. The spacious and breezy play area is open and free for all visitors.

You will leave Ben Tre and return to My Tho Wharf before heading to Can Tho City to check in and rest. The travel time is approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes to 3 hours, depending on actual traffic conditions.

In the evening, the bus will take you to a restaurant for dinner. This venue offers a variety of delicious dishes, authentically showcasing the specialties of the Mekong Delta. It features an elegant ambiance while retaining the rustic charm of Southern Vietnamese culture.

After breakfast, you will board a boat to visit Cai Rang Floating Market, the largest floating market in the Mekong Delta. Following the market visit, the next stop will be a traditional workshop where rice paper and rice noodles (hủ tiếu) are made.

Leaving the Floating Market, you depart for Con Son.

You will arrive at Con Son, which spans over 70 hectares, to visit fish farms, experience a unique "koi fish massage," and savor the delicious and chewy snakehead fish cakes.

You will explore a lush fruit garden, enjoy an abundance of fresh tropical fruits to your heart's content, and sip on refreshing drinks such as sassafras leaf tea or grass jelly. Immerse yourself in the serene and pleasant atmosphere while admiring and capturing photos of the vibrant, fruit-laden trees in the garden.
