This is the perfect way to dig beneath the surface and connect with local Moroccan food and life in a personal and meaningful way! You’ll cook together for about an hour before sitting down to enjoy the dishes you helped prepare. Some preparation for your meal might be done in advance. Chamsi prepares typical home-style dishes that are seasonal and often feature Casablanca’s local seafood. Chamsi can prepare a wonderful vegetarian meal, meat is halal or can also buy kosher meat, so be sure to ask if you have any special dietary requests at least a week in advance.

Your tour departs from the Casablanca port shuttle drop-off point located across from the Hyatt Regency in Casablanca. The address is PI. des Nations Unies, Casablanca 20000. To get to the meeting point, please use the free shuttle bus from the cruise pier. The local representative will be standing by the bus shuttle drop off point and will be holding a placard that says "Traveling Spoon". You will be driven 20 minutes to a home located in the Hay El Hana neighborhood of Casablanca, where your experience will take place. After completing the experience, you will be returned to the shuttle station.

Place des Nations Unies is also known as the United Nations Square, a public square and tourist attraction in the center of Casablanca. It is approximately 4 km (2.5 miles) from the port. Upon debarkation, you will need to take either a shuttle or taxi to the meeting location. Depending on your cruise line, there may be a free shuttle available at the cruise ship pier to take you to this central location in the city of Casablanca. There are also taxis available at the cruise ship pier. The meeting location is an approximate 10-minute drive from the port (approximately 10 EUR each way). Upon your arrival at the meeting location, your host, Chamsi, will be standing by the cruise pier shuttle drop-off point (a local bus station), holding a sign that says TRAVELING SPOON on it. Your host will drive you to their home in the Hay El Hana neighborhood of Casablanca, approximately 20 minutes away. At the conclusion of your experience, you will be dropped off at the same shuttle/bus station from where you meet the host.
