The male condor has a distinctive comb on its head, a feature the females lack. They are the national bird of Ecuador. They are protected and even considered a natural monument in some areas. Antisana Condor Observatory
Watch the Andean Condor in its natural habitat from the viewpoint that is located at the Isco Condor Sanctuary Observatory . Spot a great Andean scenery during the journey until you arrive in the lagoon entrance. Some wildlife could be spotted on the distance by the road. Start the walk along the trails near the lagoon to watch from the top the entire extension of the lacustrine complex, if weather allows, you can see the Colossus Antisana Volcano, the fourth highest pick in Ecuador Andes. If it is your lucky day, not only will you see Condors but you will also be able to see the famous Andean Spectacled Bear (Tremarctos ornatus).
