Neemrana is an ancient town situated in the state of Rajasthan at a distance of about 75 miles from Delhi. The 553 year old Neemrana Fort stands in the midst of the Aravalli mountain range. The fort belonged to the ruling family of Chauhans who can trace their lineage back to the great Rajput king, Prithviraj Chauhan. Today the fort has been converted into a majestic heritage hotel that offers a one of its kind experience. On this day-excursion, visit the fort-palace and explore the village of Neemrana.

You will be picked up from your hotel in the morning and driven to Neemrana, which is about a two hour drive from Delhi. Upon your arrival in Neemrana take a short walk through the village lanes with your guide. Observe the traditional houses and the village life from close quarters. See how families have been living there for generations away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Visit the nine-storey stepwell in the village that was built in the 18th century primarily to create employment when famine struck the area. Each storey has rooms built on the periphery which served as resting places for travelers. After the walk around the village, climb up to the Fort. This Fort Palace is constructed over 14 tiers. Each tier has its separate set of rooms with balconies and terraces. Next have lunch at the hotel restaurant (own expense). After lunch you will be driven back to Delhi and dropped off at your hotel.
