An experience that combines adventure, challenge and reward. It is one of the most challenging trails in the city, perfect for those who like to overcome obstacles and enjoy nature, but requires physical preparation.
At an altitude of 844 meters, the Pedra da Gávea is the world’s largest seaside monolith and offers one of the most spectacular views of the city: Christ the Redeemer, Sugar Bread, Lagoa, Zona Sul, Barra da Tijuca and the entire coastline of Carioca, all in one place!
The route: The track has about 2.5 km of climb (summate, are approximately 5 km) and takes an average of 3 to 4 hours to complete, depending on the group's pace.
During the course, we will travel through stretches in the middle of the Atlantic Forest, intense climbs, roots, stones and the famous challenge of the Carrasqueira, a short stretch of climbing where you have to use your hands.
But don’t worry: with the guidance of our expert guide and safety equipment, you will climb with confidence and tranquility!
Meet your group and our guide at Point da Meire at 7:40 am, where all instructions will be given and safety equipment distributed. The activity starts promptly at 8 am.
