One of the best reasons to get out into the countryside surrounding Beijing in late September-early October is to see all the fantastic colors as the leaves change. The Jiankou Great Wall is a great spot to usher in fall, and is where the inner and outer lines of Beijing’s Great Wall join, wrapping around the ridge lines that surround Xizhazi Village. There are numerous options for varying wall hikes here and many of the trails that lead up to the wall pass through forests of deciduous trees, making for a colorful climb.

Meet your driver to Jiankou Great Wall. A comfortable vehicle (non-smoking) with an experienced English speaking driver will be ready for you to explore the Wall. According to your schedule, your private driver will be waiting for you at the airport, train station, or in your hotel lobby. About 2-hour drive from Beijing, your driver will drop you off at Xizhazi village and show you how to find the trail walk up to Zhengbeilou tower while you been the tower please turn left keep walking to Mutianyu. No.20 tower at Mutianyu connected with the Jiankou the window was blocked by Mutianyu company so you have to climb the short wall over to another side where Mutianyu section(easy way to climb over the wall so do not worry about that). Starting from the No.20 watch tower hike to No.6 watch tower will takes 1.5 hours during the time you could enjoy the beautiful views on the restored Great Wall at Mutianyu the one of the most popular section in foreigners and then enjoy the slide from the toboggan station at NO.6 tower slide down to the bus station to meet your driver back to Beijing.
