JR Sanyo Sanin Area Pass allows for travel on various trains within the designated area. It covers reserved seats on the Bullet Train “Sanyo Shinkansen” which runs between Shin-Osaka and Hakata, including the Hello Kitty Shinkansen. It also includes Limited Express Trains such as Haruka, Kuroshio, Thumderbird, Kounotori, Yakumo, Super Hakuto(including Kamigori⇔Chizu), and Super Inaba.The pass is also valid on Special Rapid Services, Rapid Services, and Local trains on JR-WEST Conventional lines. Additionally, it can be used on JR West Miyajima Ferry and West Japan JR Bus routes within the valid area, excluding expressway buses.
JR Sanyo Sanin Area Pass does not cover certain train services, including the Bullet Train "Tokaido Shinkansen" between Shin-Osaka and Tokyo and the Bullet Train "Kyushu Shinkansen" between Hakata and Kagoshima-Chuo.
Reserved seat tickets can be exchanged for unlimited times. The original ticket can be used to board the unreserved train directly. From the 7th time, you need to manually reserve tickets at the green window.
