Rediscover Banff from the open waters of Lake Minnewanka. Our classic one-hour interpretive cruise takes you through one of the most breathtaking landscapes in Canada’s first national park, surrounded by shimmering waters and towering peaks. Along the way, our expert crew brings the lake’s history to life with fascinating stories — including the tale of Minnewanka Landing. Approximately 60 minutes long including the safety briefing and loading.
- Beer Voyage Cruise
Explore Minnewanka’s emerald waters and sip a variety of craft brews on this 1.5-hour adventure, departing daily at 5 p.m. It’s the perfect way to kick back, connect with the Rockies and let the good times flow. Plus, every Friday (starting June 13, 2025), join us for a hosted cruise — with a different Alberta brewer showcasing their finest creations each week. Approximately 90 minutes long including the safety briefing and loading.

- By Public Transportation:
- Lake Minnewanka is one of Banff’s most popular destinations and the parking lot fills quickly. For the best experience, consider taking the bus. Hop on Roam Transit's Route 6 service and show your cruise ticket to the bus driver to get a FREE RIDE.
- Board a bus from downtown Banff no later than an hour prior to your cruise time to ensure you arrive on time. Review Roam's bus schedule to find the most appropriate timing*.
- Free Roam Public Transit (https://roamtransit.com/schedules-routes/lake-minnewanka-route-6/) rides with a tour ticket will be available from May 16, 2025, until September 29, 2025. Please note that exact dates may be subject to change, so we recommend checking the official Roam Bus website for the most up-to-date information.
- By car: Please arrive at least two hours before your cruise time to ensure you find a parking spot and have time to explore the area from the shore.
Inclusions
- Please note that formal ticket will be sent to your email that you provide while booking 3 days before departure
- If the weather conditions prevent the experience on the scheduled day, please be sure to contact us through customer service messaging
- Parks Canada has designated all National Parks in Canada as “no drone zones” for recreational use
- For safety reasons, we are unable to accommodate strollers on our boats. They can be left at the boat docks
- You must arrive with your ticket at the boarding dock no later than 15 minutes before your departure time for check in. We recommend budgeting additional time to find parking during peak season and busy days
- For the safety of those onboard bear spray is not permitted on cruises
