Discover southern Vietnam with a friendly Trip Guru on this full-day Mekong River Delta Tour. Nicknamed the ‘rice bowl of Vietnam’, the Mekong River Delta is a flatland stretching from Ho Chi Minh’s southwest to the Gulf of Thailand. Orchards, paddy fields, and swamplands make up the rustic landscape of this verdant region, which is well worth exploring as an escape from Saigon’s street scenes.
We’ll start the trip with an early pick-up from your accommodations before heading South to the Cai Be district. From there, we’ll board a boat and head to Tan Phong Island, one of the more well-known islands in the Mekong Delta. Tan Phong is especially popular for its fruit orchards, aquaculture, and fishing. We’ll also pass by the floating market and learn about its history and significance from our friendly TripGuru.
Our next stop is an Ancient House, known by the locals as the old house of Mr. Kiet. This ancient house is almost 200 years old and has five bedrooms. The interiors of the house are intricately decorated with rare pieces of wood that are inlaid with numerous delicate carvings.
