Moraine Lake

Your first stop is Moraine Lake. To ensure you feel comfortable and ready for the day, we provide each guest with a warm beverage, perfect for the crisp morning air. As the morning light gently illuminates the shimmering lake, you’ll feel the peaceful atmosphere surrounding you. This moment is all yours—no rushing, no distractions. Your guide will lead you to the Rockpile, where you can take in panoramic views and discover the best spots for photography, whether you’re capturing the lake’s stunning hues or the towering peaks that surround it. You’ll have two hours to explore Moraine Lake at your own pace. Whether you want to paddle across the turquoise waters in a canoe, stroll along the serene lakeshore trail, or simply soak in the peaceful surroundings, this is your time to connect with the beauty of this iconic destination. Your belongings can stay safely in the vehicle, as your driver will be ready and waiting when it’s time to continue the journey.

The adventure continues as we head to Lake Louise. Upon arrival, your guide will share tips on how to make the most of your two hours there. Want to stroll along the lakeshore trail? Or, for a more peaceful experience away from the crowds, take our favorite hike up the Fairview Lookout trail. This quieter trail leads to a stunning viewpoint where you can enjoy a higher view of the lake with the iconic Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise in the background. Your guide will ensure you know exactly where to go for the best views. And, of course, they’ll be available to answer any questions, help with photos, or just offer advice on the best way to experience this iconic location.

  • We recommend bringing your own food, as options at the lakes can be limited, pricey, and often have long lineups.

  • Minimum Age: 6 years. For safety and comfort, we cannot accommodate children under 6.
  • You will receive your specific pickup time by email at least 2–3 days prior to your tour date. Please make sure to check for this email, as your pickup time will depend on your selected location.
  • Our tours proceed rain, shine, or snow (yes, even in the summer!). However, in extreme weather conditions, we prioritize your safety and comfort—so we’ll either reschedule your tour or offer a refund.
  • The mornings at Moraine Lake is chilly! Dress in layers to stay warm and ready for unpredictable mountain weather.
  • In order to participate all adults must sign a waiver prior to the tour. A waiver must also be completed by the parent or guardian of any child under the age of 18. Failure to complete the waiver will result in the cancellation of your tour.
  • No-shows, missed departures, or unused services are non-refundable.
  • We require at least 4 guests for the tour to proceed. If we don’t reach this minimum number, we will offer you options to reschedule or receive a full refund.

The tour begins in Canmore, with additional pickups in Banff. To ensure a smooth and timely departure, please be ready 10 minutes before your designated pickup time at your chosen location. Canmore Guests: Your pickup marks the official start of the tour. Banff Guests: Your pickup is approximately 30 minutes after the tour starts in Canmore (to allow travel from Canmore). Pickup times vary by location—please refer to your specific pickup time for accurate details. Being ready early helps keep the tour on schedule for everyone!
