The Mt. Fuji 5th Station (富士山五合目) is one of the most iconic spots on Japan’s most famous mountain, offering a unique experience for visitors looking to connect with nature, spirituality, and adventure. It serves as a midway point for climbers heading to the summit, but it also offers incredible views and a memorable visit for those who prefer to stay at lower elevations. If the fifth station of Mount Fuji closes its access, we will instead visit the Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Shrine, a shrine that is more than 1,400 years old.
The old Arakura Shrine was built in the 721 (1,304 years ago ) for the Lord in Yamanashi, The famous samurai Mr.Takeda, is one of the most oldest Shrine in the sacred Arakura Mountain Sengen Park, in the same place but in a little more altitude there is the also famous Chureito Pagoda, one of Japan's most iconic and picturesque landmarks, famous for its stunning views of Mt. Fuji in the background. It is located in Fujiyoshida, near the base of Mt. Fuji, and is part of the Arakura Sengen Shrine. The pagoda, with its red structure and serene surroundings, offers a perfect blend of traditional Japanese architecture and natural beauty. The pagoda is situated on a hill, providing a panoramic view of Mt. Fuji, especially beautiful during the cherry blossom season (spring) and autumn when the surrounding foliage is vibrant. The iconic shot of the pagoda framed by blooming sakura trees or fiery autumn leaves with Mt. Fuji in the background is one of Japan’s most photographed scenes.
Also known as "Honcho Street" that runs through the center of Fujiyoshida, is the road that connects both the city and Mt.Fuji. This street has become a hot spot on social media for seeing Mt.Fuji. Mt.Fuji, seen from behind the tasteful signs boards and lanterns which decollate there shops along the street, and the miscellaneous electric wires that cross the street, is a one of a kind view that can only be seen here. Recently, many tourists and photographers have been visiting this spot to take photogenic photos, with photos taken from here appearing on Instagram, TikTok and Facebook.
