Nara Park

At Nara Park, travelers will encounter hundreds of friendly, free-roaming deer, considered sacred in local tradition. You'll have the chance to feed these gentle creatures with special deer crackers, making for memorable interactions and photo opportunities. You'll also enjoy the proximity to several significant historical sites, including the iconic Todaiji Temple with its massive Great Buddha statue and the tranquil Kasuga Taisha Shrine with its hundreds of stone and bronze lanterns. This experience offers a harmonious blend of nature and culture, showcasing the best of Nara's heritage and beauty.

Todai-ji Temple

At Todaiji Temple, travelers will marvel at the grandeur of one of Japan's most famous and historically significant temples. As you approach the temple, you'll be greeted by the imposing Nandaimon Gate, guarded by fierce Nio statues. Inside the Daibutsuden (Great Buddha Hall), you'll witness the awe-inspiring 15-meter tall Great Buddha statue, a bronze masterpiece that is one of the largest in the world.

Nigatsu-do Temple

At Nigatsudo Temple, travelers will experience a serene and culturally rich destination nestled within the Todai-ji temple complex. As you climb the steps to the temple, you'll be treated to panoramic views of Nara city and the surrounding mountains, offering excellent photo opportunities, especially during sunset. Nigatsudo is renowned for its annual Omizutori (Water-Drawing) festival, a centuries-old Buddhist ceremony held every March, featuring dramatic torchlight processions.
