Discover the charm of Oxford and its historic pubs on this small group guided evening walk. Starting at the Tap Social Bar in The Covered Market, enjoy the vibrant atmosphere and delicious food options before meeting your guide. Stroll along Broad Street to the renowned Turf Tavern, where you can savor a complimentary half-pint of ale while soaking in the local history. Continue to the Bear Inn, one of the oldest pubs in the world, and hear captivating stories as you enjoy another round. The tour concludes at the Royal Blenheim , known for its extensive ale selection, with recommendations for further explorations in Oxford.
We will start the tour at 7pm, meeting at the bar in the Market tap. However, I would advise visiting the Market beforehand to have a look around and enjoy some food from some of the great street food style vendors. I would recommend pizza by Satorellis, or if you're feeling really British, Pie and Mash from Pieminister!
We will walk down Broad Street to see the Sheldonian Theatre, Bridge of Sighs and Blackwell's Bookshop. Also located on Broad street are Balliol and Trinity colleges.
We go down the hidden entrance to the Turf, one of Oxford's most famous pubs for 'an education in intoxication'. Here we'll hear about the pub's history and it's clientele past and present!
You will make your own way to the meeting points
