Enter the Colosseum with your guide and enter into a world of gladiators and entertainment as you learn about the construction of the incredible monument and its history. One of the New 7 Wonders of the World, the Flavian Amphitheatre, as it would have been known when it was inaugurated nearly 2000 years ago, is a feat of architectural engineering that has become an icon of Rome and the ancient world and is still a fascinating place to visit. In the Forum you will walk amongst the ruins of the heart of ancient life and hear about the men and women who carried out their day-to-day life here and the officials who conducted the business of the city. On the Palatine Hill, the supposed birthplace of Rome where legend has it that Romulus founded the city, you will see the remarkable remains of the emperors’ palaces and temples, as well as a view over the Forum and the Circus Maximus.
