The island of Capri is one of the most famous and fascinating destinations in the Tyrrhenian Sea, located off the Amalfi Coast, south of Naples. The island, famous for its natural beauty, crystal clear waters and breathtaking cliffs overlooking the sea, is famous for its "Blue Grotto", a sea cavity where sunlight creates a spectacular lighting effect, which attracts thousands of tourists every year. Capri is also known for its gardens, rooftop terraces and rocky landscape trails, offering spectacular views of the Gulf of Naples and Mount Vesuvius. The two main locations on the island are Capri, home to elegant squares, luxury boutiques and fine restaurants, and Anacapri, a little quieter and surrounded by greenery. Today, Capri is a symbol of luxury and glamour, but it also remains a place of rare natural beauty, where history and nature come together in a unique atmosphere.
The Blue Grotto is one of the most famous attractions on the island of Capri. This spectacular sea cave is known for its extraordinary interior lighting, which creates a bright, almost surreal blue environment. The cave measures about 60 meters long and 25 meters wide, with a very narrow entrance that makes access possible only in small rowing boats. The most fascinating feature of the Blue Grotto is the phenomenon of sunlight that, entering through a small underwater opening, is reflected on the sandy bottom and illuminates the entire cavity with an intense blue light. The Blue Grotto is not only a natural phenomenon, but also a place full of history and mythology. It is said that it was used as a nymphaeum by the ancient Romans, and archaeological remains have been found that testify to its ancient beauty and importance.
Anacapri is a picturesque town located on the island of Capri, Italy. It is located at a higher altitude than the main town of Capri, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the sea and surrounding cliffs. Anacapri is known for its quiet and relaxed atmosphere, in contrast to the livelier center of Capri. Anacapri is home to a number of historic churches, charming streets and craft shops selling typical local products.
