Rocha do Chambre is a Hiking Trail , located in the center of the island. Our goal is to hike up to Juncal, the highest point with 704 meters of height, from where we can see the natural reserve of Biscoito da Ferraria. Along the way, we will be in contact with a lot of endemic species, getting to know our flora! It is a medium to difficult hiking trail.
Baias da Agualva
In this hiking trail, we will hike around the bays of Agualva, which are coastal bays formed by slighlty high cliffs. While hikinh around, we will be able to distinguish the different types of lava, as well as vegetation, understanding at least a tiny bit of the journey of our island. It is an easy to medium difficulty hiking trail.
Trilha de Misterios Negros
In this hiking trail we will be focusing on Mistérios Negros, calculated to have been the last eruption on land in the Azores, 260 years ago. Our trail will firstly go into the domus volcanicus, crossing them right in the middle, being that the exit of the trail is on the other side of the little mounts created by the eruption. Along the way, we will identify different species of flora, as well as contemplate the beauty of the scenery. it is an easy to medium difficulty hiking trail.
