Immerse yourself in the history and food and wine culture of Piedmont to discover some timeless excellences of our territory with the guidance of a Sommelier and local gastronomy expert. Together we will visit a traditional winery in Monferrato to discover the history and production techniques of Vermouth: the historic Piedmontese aperitif. After visiting the wine aging cellar, we will taste several wines produced by the company and their historic Vermouth (produced following a century-old recipe). After a short break for a relaxing lunch in a local restaurant selected by me, we will continue our tour to discover another great excellence of the area: cheese. We will visit a small company specialized in the production of cheeses with goat or sheep's milk. The processes and production techniques will be explained to you and you will have the opportunity to taste these delicious cheeses during a guided tasting.
Pickup included
Together we will set off to discover the most authentic Piedmont and the food and wine excellences of Monferrato. During the first stop you will visit a historic family winery where typical local wines and traditional Vermouths with a centuries-old history are produced. You will visit the aging cellar of the great Piedmontese reds such as Barbera, Nebbiolo and that of the Alta Langa classic method sparkling wines. Afterwards, in the tasting room, you will have the opportunity to taste their most classic products and understand their peculiarities and production methods. You will learn how the historic Vermouth of Turin is born and which botanicals are normally used in the production of this incredible traditional Piedmontese aperitif.
Lunch break in a typical local restaurant. You can choose from the different proposals on the à la carte menu. The cost of lunch is not included in the price of the experience.
In the afternoon we will discover another excellence of this wonderful area: cheese. Together we will visit a farm specialized in the production of typical Monferrato cheeses. You will discover the production techniques of these delicious cheeses and taste them during the final tasting.
