Our guide will lead you to the Alishan Forest Recreation Area, where you'll enjoy a leisurely stroll through the forest trails and a complete phytoncid experience. Route: Visitor Center (by shuttle bus) → Zhaoping Station → Sisters Pond/Four Sisters/Three Brothers/Golden Pig Announcement/Eternal Love → Magnolia Garden → Shouzhen Temple → Tudigong Temple → Xianglin Elementary School (the highest institution of learning) → Thousand-Year-Old Cypress → Tree Spirit Pagoda → Xianglin Sacred Tree → Jinggong Monument → Ciyun Viewpoint → Three-Generation Tree/Elephant Trunk Tree/Xianglin Arch Bridge/Alishan Work Station → Shouzhen Temple (by shuttle bus) → Alishan Visitor Center. (Total journey approximately 3-3.5 hours)

Ride the Sunrise Train to watch the sunrise (round-trip tickets available). Please proceed to Alishan Train Station and take the Sunrise Train to Duigaoyue Train Station to enjoy Taiwan's famous sunrise and sea of ​​clouds (approximately 25 minutes one way).

Enjoy breakfast at Alishan Hotel or restaurant and check out after dinner.

We boarded a taxi at the hotel entrance, purchased hiking supplies at a 7-11 convenience store, and then headed to the Tefuye Ancient Trail.

The planned route for this trip is to enter from Zizhong intersection, walk 3.7 kilometers, and then return to Zizhong intersection. The entire route is flat and easy to walk (the whole round trip takes about 3 hours).

During the Japanese colonial period, the latter section of the trail was converted into the "Shuishan Line" railway for transporting timber. The Tefuye Trail has two entrances: one from Zizhong, at the border of Alishan and Xinyi Townships, and the other from the Tefuye Tribe in Alishan.

The front section of the ancient trail is relatively flat, with Cryptomeria japonica planted along the way, while the back section is a steep staircase with wooden sleepers. There are dense forests along the way and old railway landscapes. In the rich natural ecological scenery, there is a strong cultural atmosphere. Therefore, no one says it is not worth walking through the Tefuye Ancient Trail, which shows the fame of the Tefuye Ancient Trail.

Take a bus to Fenchihu Old Street. (Please refer to the on-site announcement for any changes to the transfer time.)

Upon arrival in Fenchihu, you can visit Fenchihu Station, the old steam locomotive, the square bamboo, and Fenchihu Old Street. While strolling through the century-old street, don't miss the local delicacies such as train cakes, grass cakes, iron eggs, Fenchihu special tofu, and aiyu.

Niupuzai Grassland, also known as the "Alishan No. 18 Love Silk Road," boasts endless green grasslands where you can run, jump, and roll to your heart's content. The surrounding art installations create a sweet atmosphere, adding to the romantic feel of the Silk Road Trail.

Arrive at Chiayi Railway Station and end the trip

(If you decide to go to Chiayi High Speed ​​Rail Station at the last minute, you can take the free BRT shuttle bus from the back station of Chiayi Train Station to Chiayi High Speed ​​Rail Station)

If you need to buy a return ticket, it is recommended to take the train after 18:00; it is recommended to take the high-speed rail after 18:30 to avoid being rushed.
