The Theatre of Dionysus is an ancient Greek theatre in Athens. It is built on the south slope of the Acropolis hill, originally part of the sanctuary of Dionysus Eleuthereus. The first orchestra terrace was constructed on the site around the mid- to late-sixth century BC, where it hosted the City Dionysia.

Herod Atticus Odeon

The Odeon of Herodes Atticus is a stone Roman theater structure located on the southwest slope of the Acropolis of Athens, Greece. The building was completed in 161 AD and then renovated in 1950.

  • The tour ends at the Acropolis Museum if you book the option with the museum. If you book the option only Acropolis ends up to the Acropolis monuments.

The meeting point is at Porinou 5, 11742 (please do not forget to add the postal code) inside the tour office of Athens Walks. Please be at the meeting point 15-30 minutes in advance. Please do not forget to bring passport or IDs or photocopies of them for any participant under 25 years old of EU origin or under 18 years old of NON Eu origin. Please come at the meeting time to receive your entrance tickets and check in with your guide. The tour is not starting at the entrance gates of Acropolis. Do not go to entrance gates of Acropolis. If you reserve a taxi ask them to take you to Porinou 5, 11742. - Guests are advised to wear flat and comfortable walking shoes. - Large backpacks, strollers and oversized purses are not permitted inside the site. You can store them safely at the meeting point. - Long queues and waiting might occur, and every effort is made to coordinate the best timings for visits.* - The order of sites may be reversed based on traffic, weather, and overcrowding of venues. - Temperatures can get extremely high during summer. Guests are encouraged to wear hats, sunglasses, insect repellent, sunscreen lotion, and hydrate. An optional umbrella to create shade is also advisable. - Guests are encouraged to bring credit cards and currency to purchase optional extras such as souvenirs, food, and beverages. - You should never feel that gratuities are expected, but it is customary to leave a tip to recognize exceptional service in restaurants, taxis, and excursion guides and drivers. It is always up to you to determine the amount. - People under 25 years old they should bring their passports or photo copy of them.
