Tijuca National Park is a great opportunity to get to know Rio de Janeiro's rich avifauna, with endemic species of the Atlantic Forest. This is an ideal tour for those who want to start bird watching or for those more experienced birders.
Pickup included
Leaving your hotel in the South Zone of the city we will head to Alto da Boa Vista where we will start searching for the desired bird species on our tour such as Green-headed Tanager, Red-necked Tanager, Plain Parakeet, Maroon-bellied Parakeet among many. others. From there we will take a series of short car rides followed by short walks on easily accessible trails. Between one trail and another we will stop for a delicious Brazilian coffee (included in the tour). Around noon we will start down the park with expected arrival at your hotel around 1 pm.
You can choose to be picked up from a list of locations, or alternatively, have the choice to make your own way to the meeting points
Please arrive at the pick up point 10 minutes before departure time.
