Valley of the Kings

Egyptology tour guide will pick you up from Hotel / Nile Cruise at 7:30 am, to start your remarkable day in the West Bank Of Luxor. Drive to the west bank for about 40 minutes in a private air-conditioned car, enjoy the scenery and views of the green farms and the countryside of Luxor. Arrive at the Valley of the Kings, where the pharaohs from the new kingdom curved their tombs in the mountains aiming to hide their treasure and protect their mummies. Your tour guide will explain to you from outside about the secrets of the paintings, colors and how the ancient Egyptian workers succeeded to curve such impressive tombs, as no guiding inside the tombs. Temple of Hatshepsut

Proceed to visit the unique design  Mortuary temple of the famous queen Hatshepsut at El Deir El Bahari, that was renewed and rebuilt by the Polish mission in Egypt since 1960 up till these days. Listen to the queen's interesting story from your Egyptology guide and know how she managed to rule as a sole Pharaoh.

Valley of the Nobles

Drive over to visit tombs of the Nobles of the New Kingdom with their relief carving of outstanding quality. Enjoy the daily life scenes and see the owners of the tombs in charge of their careers as officials at the court of their Pharaohs.

Valley of the Artisans (Deir el-Medina)

Then, continue to Deir El Madina known as the Valley of the Workers at the northern end of the Theban Necropolis. It is an ancient village which was home to the artisans who worked on the tombs in the Valley of the Kings during the 18th to 20th dynasties of the New Kingdom period(1550-1080B.C). Enjoy the colorful workers family tombs with their vivid and impressive paintings.

Valley of the Queens

Then, to the Valley of the Queens, also known as Wadi el-Melikat, where the wives and children of the Kings of Egypt dating primarily from the 18th Dynasty – 20th Dynasty were buried. It was known then as Ta-Set-Neferu, meaning “the place of beauty”, more than 90 tombs are stylish and lavishly decorated. An example is the resting place carved out of the rock for Queen Nefertari (QV66) of the 19th Dynasty wife and favorite queen of Ramses II. The reliefs in her tomb are still intact and it is the largest and most spectacular in the valley of the queens.

Temple of Medinat Habu

Madinat Habu, located at the southern end of the Theban Necropolis, where the first labor strike in history against their king Ramesses III was launched. This memorial temple of Ramesses III is one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt and surrounded by a massive mud-brick enclosure wall, which may have been fortified. Marvel at a royal palace, temples, and a series of wall carvings that depict memorial scenes and Ramesses III’s defeat of the Sea Peoples.

Colossi of Memnon

Stop for some nice photos in front of the two 17 meters statues of Memnon, once decorating the entrance of the biggest Funeral Temple of king AmonhotepIII from the New kingdom in the West Bank.
