See signatures such as the City gates, Marienplatz square, the Old and New Town Hall. Also, have a chance to visit historic churches and other famous landmarks such as the Viktualienmarkt.
Start your tour at the Fish fountain in the square known as Marienplatz (Mary’s square) which has been the city’s central location since ages. Here, you will find the New City Hall towards the north side while the Old City Hall towards the east side. You will also see Mary's column here.
You will see a large mechanical clock known as Rathaus-Glockenspiel which is renowned for its 43 bells and 32 life-size characters. The top half describes the story of the marriage of the Duke Wilhelm V to Renata of Lorraine.
As we continue, you will visit the Frauenkirche, a famous landmark and also the symbol of the city. You will get to see its two towers which are about 98 meters high. An Interesting feature of these towers is that each of them contain 10 bells which makes for a unique combination of sounds. The architectural style varies from renaissance to gothic style.
