Echizen Town, where the sticky, iron-rich potter's clay is produced, is the hometown of Echizen ware, which has been designated as a Japanese heritage site as one of Japan's Six Ancient Kilns. This time, we will start at the Echizen Pottery Village, where artworks by Taro Okamoto and others are lined up, experience a tea ceremony where you can feel the tea culture of Tenshin Okakura, and take a close look at the handiwork of artisans at an Echizen ware workshop. During the workshop activity, the craftsmen will show you around the workshop. You will also experience making pottery using Echizen clay. You can experience it with confidence while being carefully taught by a craftsman. Please come and have a special experience where you can learn about manufacturing directly from the craftsmen.
