Despite these findings, the site remains unexcavated, leaving much to be discovered about this ancient marvel.
Khafre's Pyramid
Khafre's pyramid complex encompasses a valley temple, the Sphinx temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king's pyramid. Within the valley temple, archaeologists unearthed numerous statues of Khafre, some of which were discovered in a well within the temple's floor by Mariette in 1860. These findings offer valuable insights into the grandeur of Khafre's reign and the significance of this ancient site.
