The boats may have changed over the years, but our passion for adventure remains the same! Our professional, experienced river trip guides will navigate you through the twists and turns of the Snake River Canyon while pointing out the flora, fauna, geology, and history that make this area so unique. Whether you bring your family or come with friends, we can assure you that Snake River rafting will be the highlight of your trip to Jackson Hole!

  • Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
  • Bring a change of dry clothes, a towel, and a sweatshirt on the bus with you. It will be waiting for you at the end of your trip.
  • Conditions can be variable; you may experience a cold day on the river. (Not to worry, it will still be a lot of fun. You just have to dress appropriately!)
  • Please wear shoes that can get wet that will not fall off your feet. An old pair of running shoes or water shoes would be your best option. You must wear footwear in the raft, so we do have booties available for rent if you do not have footwear. Sizes run 2 – 15 and can be rented upon arrival for $5.00 per pair.
  • Please wear synthetic clothing if possible and bring layers. Synthetics are best for the river because they dry faster than cotton. A bathing suit underneath shorts and a t-shirt is fine for a nice, warm, summer day.
  • Splash gear is complimentary. On a cold day, you’ll want a bathing suit to wear under the wet suit.
  • Sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat are highly recommended.
  • We have wet suits & wet suit jackets available for rent. Wet suits are $10.00 to rent. Wet suit jackets are $5.00 to rent.
  • Please note kids must weigh at least 50 pounds or more to go rafting!

  • When: 30 minutes prior to your scheduled trip time Where: Mad River, 1255 South Highway 89 Jackson Wyoming 83001. Just 2 miles south of the town square, between Whole Grocer and Smith’s Grocery. Transportation from the Mad River Boat Wedge to the river and back is provided on every Mad River trip.

Please meet at the Mad River Boathouse no later than 30 minutes in advance of your departure. Your release forms will be completed upon arrival at a sign-in kiosk at Mad River. Please allow an additional 15 minutes for signing the online forms here at our office. Trip pricing includes all taxes and fees. Please note: kids must weigh at least 50 pounds or more to go rafting! Gratuities are not included, it is customary to tip your guide and bus driver. **Highwater Alert** Did you book a trip for May or June or even early July?  Your reservation may be affected by highwater conditions during large snowpack years.  It doesn't occur every year and unfortunately even the water experts cannot predict exact water conditions in advance.  High water can be variable and unpredictable.  Rafting during high water can be exhilarating and rafting with an experienced outfitter is always the best choice.  Your trip may or may not be affected by high water conditions.  The best thing you can do is fill out your waivers today so we can see everyone's ages and medical restrictions.  We monitor water conditions daily and will let you know in advance if we have any concerns due to high water.  If you have questions about high water conditions, give us a call 72 hours before your trip.  We are here to help!
