We developed this class because in 2016 I won a contest in Oaxaca with the best bartenders in the City. From there I have the opportunity to make cocktails for events, classes or gastronomic projects.
I have a YouTube channel and a local television program where we prepare the cocktails and the contest I win to show how cooking is more passion than quantity, because flavors are what guide the experience.
For our mixology workshop what you should know is that the most important thing is imagination, we will start by making our cocktail bases, for this the first thing we will do is talk about the history of mixology, its evolution and the new trend of reinterpreting the drinks in our communities. For this workshop we will have a wide variety of organically grown products, ranging from fruits, vegetables, herbs, aromatic plants, flowers, branches, exotic wood sticks and the occasional insect. We will start by presenting all the local products and talking about the history of each one to understand how a cocktail is built and interpreted. We will have a wide variety of glasses and bartender instruments that we will also present, we will give you a bartender's apron and we will begin our experience. We will start with a basic bartender movement and how to move the Shaker. The workshop will be developed to encourage your imagination and learn about all the possibilities of making a mixology as a classic, a juice, an alcohol, a syrup, ice and a beautiful presentation.
